“Cafecito - On Mondays and Thursdays, we have scheduled coffee times at 11:30 AM ET, so everyone, regardless of timezone can join. It’s optional, but people log in and talk about all sorts of things depending on who shows up. It’s purely fun; not work-related. You can take a break or start your day with a cup of coffee and a chat with your colleague(s).
Article Club - Credit goes to our founding designer who implemented this from our early days. This is basically a condensed version of book club (we also have a book club!). On Tuesdays, we have lunch together. Somebody nominates an article, YouTube clip, podcast, etc. for us to read and discuss. You can knock it out in 30 minutes or less, so engagement and adoption is a lot higher! We also nominate some choices, we vote, and then order based on the winning choice. We’ve started to get super creative! It’s not just picking a cuisine – sometimes it’s everyone orders something red, or something circular. The discussions are often engaging and give people a glimpse of others’ interests and opinions. It’s been fascinating to see colleagues in a new light, learn what they’re passionate about and learn something new!
Zoom happy hours - we try to make them thematic - based on the time of year, recent product launches, or current events.
#Celebrate Slack channel – We use this channel to share wins from various team members. It could be something small, like a new engineer’s first PR (pull request) or a customer reaction to a new feature. It could also be something big, like crossing a sales goal, shipping a new product, or other major events.
When every employee is onboarded, one of the first tasks is reading an article about the importance of psychological safety. It’s critical for people to feel comfortable speaking up and sharing their views and ideas, especially when there's tension or conflicting thoughts/opinions on a matter. No one should ever feel like they can't share their perspective on things. This sense of safety creates better conversations, better outcomes, and a more equitable workplace.”

“Our view is that benefits & perks should never get worse – they should persist or get better as we continue to earn the opportunity to do right by our employees. Currently, we offer the following:
Medical, dental, and vision.
A 401K program, but no matching.
A monthly food stipend of $300, so every employee gets to order food to participate in Article Club, All-Hands, etc.
Semi-annual offsites.
A one-time work-from-home stipend to get your workplace set up.
A monthly stipend for a co-working space (i.e. WeWork), which some use more than others.”
