GreyNoise is a cybersecurity company that collects, analyzes, and labels data on IPs that scan the internet and saturate security tools with noise. This unique perspective helps security teams spend less time on irrelevant or harmless activity, and more time on targeted and emerging threats.

Our “community” means anyone interested in who we are or what we do, not just our paying customers. This could include universities, students, customers, or people so far off the chain of buying our products. We want ALL users to have a great experience learning about GreyNoise and our industry. Yes, we are a commercial company, but we are still very community-driven, both internally and externally. The way we treat our community is the way we treat our employees. We really just want everyone to have the best experience ever with GreyNoise. We also love our swag (feel free to request some online). People are proud to wear it (both employees and others), which is really special. The fact that people resonate with wearing the GreyNoise brand on their clothes speaks volumes about the community that we have. Lastly, I love that a lot of employees care about non-profit work, charities, etc. For example, one employee volunteers locally for people on the spectrum and has gotten to teach our team and others about it, which has been really cool. We care deeply about giving back to the community outside of work, remembering we are just a small part of the bigger world.”

  • “We’ve got a KICK-ASS 401K (100% match up to 6% - that’s awesome for a startup). We also have 100% covered health, dental, and vision premiums for employees (not 100% coverage for family YET, but we’re getting there), a remote-first culture, a flexible PTO policy, and flexible working hours. My personal favorite perk… Every year in July we do our “annual shutdown” where, if we hit certain milestones in each function by a certain date (this year our date is May 15), then the company shuts down for two weeks. The idea from Andrew (our founder) came from this - people take PTO but if the company is still running, you’re still half online sometimes. When you all shut down together, you’re really able to relax, take time off, spend time with others, etc. It’s honestly such a cool part of our business. We run 110mph a day all the time, so getting these two weeks off as an organization is very refreshing and allows our employees to reset and come back even more motivated.”
