Switchboard's mission is to make teamwork the best part of work.

“We recently started a new ritual called Weekly DJ. Each week, a coworker creates a music playlist and shares it with the rest of the team to listen to over the course of the week. It's been a beautiful way to share our music taste and create a sense of connection through our favorite songs.

Every week, we play online games together (in a Switchboard room, of course). It’s totally optional but a fun way to hang out and dog food our own product in a more playful way.

Another way we foster community is through biweekly catch-ups. Trios of people are randomly paired to get together to just talk, not work. Since we are a remote company, we don’t have the opportunity to grab coffee or lunch together. What’s great about the catch-ups vs. an in-person meal is you’re matched with people you wouldn’t necessarily go to lunch with.”
