“A lot of our culture can be accredited to our CEO, Jack Hooper. A Dallas native and a proud Aggie, Jack wears Under Armor proudly (and exclusively), he shamelessly cracks dad jokes, is an iced tea connoisseur, and a tech junkie (ask him about the robot he bought for his wife that was supposed to cook dinner). His ability to lead his team as the industry operates in a state of flux speaks to his strong vision and the culture of innovation that he has cultivated at his startup. Maintaining the camaraderie that Jack instilled from the beginning, the culture has kept up with the company’s clip; Take Command was named a Best Place to Work by the Dallas Business Journal last year. Outside of Take Command’s own walls, Jack spearheaded an industry coalition called the HRA Council that advocates for HRA-friendly policies where he serves as Chairman of the Board. We support each other! We have a weekly Pass the Torch session that highlights achievements throughout the week. We also have a slack channel, the Wall of Fame, dedicated to spotlighting our coworkers' accomplishments. It’s one of the most prolific channels. We also have a lot of fun together! Fun activities include extreme trivia, happy hours, crafting, wine tasting, poker night, team dinners, spa nights, bowling, family picnics, a robust lunch culture, friendly competitions, and copious amounts of dad jokes.”
